There is a rumor floating around on the Marshall campus that WVU has rented out our rec center for the coal bowl game. Although as a class we tried to contact people who would possibly be "in the know" about whether or not this is true, no one was able to confirm it or to really deny it. But the rumor that's going around is that WVU has rented out the MU rec center for their fans to have a place to meet and rally before the big game.
Students i have talked to have mixed feelings about it . Personally it doesn't make a difference to me , if they want to pay to rent it out and all meet there then more power to them , all of the marshall fans are going to be tailgating elsewhere anyway. I mean I'm pretty sure no one was planning on hanging out at the rec unlit the gates opened anyway. But i can also see why it would upset some students too , because its kinda like a sell out on Marshalls part , or more so i guess the city of huntington (since they actually own the rec).
Either way i hope to soon be able to find out and have conformation for sure if this rumor is true or not.
